Ft Hood On Hold

For the time being, at least, my orders to Ft Hood have been deleted. Not sure why, but we are happy none the less. My boss is trying frantically to get it so I will stay here until at least October. I hope it works out that way. I really would like to leave here around that time. I would enjoy being in the DC area. So keep me in your prayers.

Happy Valentines' Day to one and all.

Doctor Doctor, Give Me The News

Not too bad of a week out here in Texas. I had Alpha Stem treatment done on me Monday through Thursday. For the last six months I have been dealing with a shooting pain from my the left side of my neck, all the way down to my left hand. My hand was constantly numb and tingly. I finally went and saw a doctor and they did Alpha Stem on me. It seems to have taken the pain out of my neck, but I still get that numbing feeling in my hand. Not sure what is going on.

Went to the Dentist on Friday for a routine checkup. They still want to do some type of surgery on my teeth. I go to the Ortho in a couple of weeks, so I will know more then.

The rest of the family is doing well. The boys are such characters. Guess they get it from me.

Later,

Dodged A Bullet, Sort Of

I tried all last week to get my orders changed, but to no avail. So we will be moving and reporting into Ft Hood in early May. I was able to find out they are sending me to the 1st Cavalry Division, Division Special Troops Battalion (DSTB). Currently that unit is in Iraq and will redeploy in the fall of this year. So if I stay in this unit and they do not move me, I should be able to avoid deployment for at least a year or so. We will have to make the best of it.

Worked in the yard this weekend, with Caelan's help. He watched me mow the yard and let me know when or where things were messed up that I needed to clean. When we were finished we played a game of kick ball. Final score was 3-3. He and I were happy with a tie, since neither of us likes to lose.

Ryleigh was very happy this weekend, because he got some new Disney PJs. He put them on and came running up to me to show me. He was so cute. He does have his father's appetite, because he eats anytime he sees me eating.

Isabel ran 11 miles on Saturday with her friend Pat. She will be running a half marathon in the middle of FEB in Austin. The boys and I will go up there to cheer her on. She is truly amazing.

Bailey went to Petsmart and got the royal treatment this weekend. Shaved, clipped, ears cleaned, and teeth brushed. When it was over, Caelan picked out a new toy for him. Of course he had to pick out the most annoying sounding one.

Well take care and have a nice week, until next time,

Randy
